I received an early copy of this book and this is an honest review, all opinions are my own.Fans call me the American Prince, the only son of a Formula 1 legend. Collided will appeal to readers who enjoy sports romance, some slow burn, amazing banter and good old chemistry between the main characters. ![]() He helped Sophie to let loose and they have a lot of fun together! It was great re-visiting Maya and Sophie’s friendship, all their antics and their developing friendship add to the wonder of Collided.į1 racing was something I knew nothing about prior to this series, I love the action packed and what is deemed to be, luxurious lifestyle the racers and team lead and the author writes this sport knowledgeably and enticing for her readers. I really liked discovering Liam’s nerd tendencies as well as uncovering his many layers that he hides behind, his past very much defines his actions and his fear of getting too close to someone, definitely makes him a character I wanted to keep reading about. This is definitely not an insta-love story, it’s a slow-burn, friends to lovers, banter-filled journey, with many hidden gems along the way. Their friendship blossoms with a naughty bucket list, double dates, and lots of laughs as they travel the world. It was still a good story and had such a cute and fun premise that I feel many would enjoy.Ĭollided is Lauren Asher’s second book in the Dirty Air series, an action-packed, adrenaline-filled, hot yet sweet series set in the world of F1 racing.Ĭollided is Sophie Martin and Liam Zander’s story, both characters we met in Throttled, the first book in the series, and in fact, the first part of this book runs parallel alongside events happening with Maya and Noah in Throttled. I get he was upset and hurt with his past but this didn't help with me trying to connect to the pair especially with the amount of times her refused to accept how serious their relationship really was. (view spoiler)Ĭertain parts of the story felt longer than necessary and it did run along side the same timeline as Noah and Maya's story so it was fun to see how both stories fit smoothly between each book. There was one part in the story where Liam's reaction bothered me a lot. This could very well be a 'it's me not you' thing as I do think other will enjoy this story. I loved Sophie & Liam separately but the emotional side of it was lost on me and I tried really hard to connect to them but I just didn't. Liam & Sophie had such a beautiful and precious friendship but again sadly I just could not connect to them on a deeper level past just the physical attraction. They were my favourite part of the story and I would've loved more of them. It was still present here and there but I don't feel it was delved into as much as I would've liked especially where Liam's family was concerned. The story broke my heart before it even really begun and had so much potential but somewhere along the way I lost a lot of that emotion and heartache. The story started of so great with an unexpected event that happens that explains early on why Liam is the way he is with his 'relationships' never getting to close to to girls in the past and only entering physical relationships. Collided is book 2 in the Dirty Air series by Lauren Asher and follows Liam and Sophie's story.
